Abstract Title: Using Qualitative Narrative Research to investigate mid-life crisis
Biography:
Faye Blake-Cossar, an astrologer in Amsterdam, holds a B.Sc. from Auckland University and an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from Bath Spa University College. She is interested in astrological research, in particular how astrology relates to developing ideas in science. Another paper 'Three Histories of Uranus' is available online.

Abstract Title: Researching Mundane Astrology
Biography:
Nicholas Campion is Associate Professor in Cosmology and Culture, Principal Lecturer in the Faculty of Humanities and the Performing Arts and Director of the Sophia Centre for the Study of Cosmology in Culture at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. He is Programme Director of the University's MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology. His books include the two-volume History of Western Astrology (London: Continuum 2008/9), Astrology and Cosmology in the World's Religions (New York: New York University Press, 2012) and The New Age in the Modern West: Counter-Culture, Utopia and Prophecy from the late Eighteenth Century to the Present Day (London: Bloomsbury 2015). His current projects include the six volume Cultural History of the Universe (Bloomsbury, forthcoming), for which he is General Editor.
Name: Frances Clynes
Abstract Title: Astrology in the Online World
Biography:
Frances has been a practising astrologer since 1987. Her qualifications include the Diploma from the Faculty of Astrological Studies where she is an online lecturer and a distance learning tutor, an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology, and a PhD from the Sophia Centre where she is also a tutor. In addition, she is a member of the board of the Astrological Association and the Vicepresident of the Faculty of Astrological Studies.
Name: Karine Dilanian
Abstract Title: Johannes Kepler and his research in astrology
Biography:
Karine Dilanian holds MA in cultural astronomy and astrology from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. She is a publisher of The Kepler Project, Phase 2, organized a conference devoted to the 400 anniversary of the publication of Kepler's The Harmony of the World and currently works on Kepler's astrological material.
Name: Graham Douglas
Abstract Title: Evidence for Lunar- Geomagnetic Effects in the Gauquelin Data
Biography:
Graham Douglas became interested in astrology and the Gauquelin data in 1977, through John Addey.
Graham Douglas has published many articles in Correlation and on the CURA website. He has translated and introduced The World of Astrology, by Luis Vilhena, published by Sophia Press, and an interview with Claude Lévi-Strauss, Culture and Cosmos Vol. 18(2).
Name: Kees Jansen
Abstract Title: Do planets drive a 10 year solar cycle?
Biography:
Kees Jansen is a mechanical engineer who researched and developed sustainable energy systems. After lifelong interest in astrology he now applies his skills and experience for research into astrology. He is member of the board of the NVWOA, the Dutch Society for Scientific Research into astrology.
Name: Chris Mitchell
Abstract Title: The rabbi and the pope - using medieval charts to do historic research
Biography:
Chris Mitchell is currently completing a PhD at the University of Leicester looking at Jewish and Arabic influences in English medieval astrology. He graduated with an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from Bath Spa University College in 2008, and is currently a tutor on that course at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. He is a Board Member of the Astrological Association, and is a regular speaker at a number of astrology groups and conferences worldwide, and has written a number of published articles both for astrological publications and the local press.
Name: Marcos Patchett
Abstract Title: Testing astrological prediction: developing accurate and representative research methods
Biography:
Marcos is a herbalist, medical and horary astrologer. He was clinical supervisor for Middlesex University's Western Herbal Medicine BSc & MSc courses (2013-2018). He is an affiliate tutor for Kepler College (USA), QHP, and the Academy of Astrology (UK). His first book, The Secret Life of Chocolate, is imminent.
Name: Bruce Scofield
Abstract Title: Signals from the planets found in weather data
Biography:
Bruce Scofield, Ph.D., has been an astrological consultant for 45 years and has authored books, articles and papers on, or related to, astrology. He has taught evolution at the University of Massachusetts and astrology for Kepler College and has investigated astrometeorology and Mesoamerican astrology.
