The field trip will take place, as usual, on Thursday and this year we are returning to Wells Cathedral. The tour of the cathedral will be led by Jon Cannon, a regular guest lecturer on MA modules.

However, Summer School unofficially begins the night before with the traditional get-together in All Bar One, Bath. If you wish to come along to All Bar One, please email Frances Clynes at f.clynes@uwtsd.ac.uk who is making the reservation with the bar.

The Summer School is followed on 1st and 2nd of July, by the Annual Sophia Centre Conference. The theme of the 2017 conference is 'The Talking Sky: Myths and Meaning in the Celestial Spheres'. The conference can be booked on our website. For the first time, it will be possible to attend the conference virtually. If you are not able to be physically present in Bath, why not watch it from home and view the lectures as often as you like for a limited period afterwards. To put your name on the mailing list for the online conference, visit the conference webpage.
