An invitation from the Journal of Skyscape Archaeology, the Sophia Centre at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and the Sophia Centre Press.
Please join us for the zoom launch of Liz Henty's new book Exploring Archaeoastronomy: A History of its Relationship with Archaeology and Esotericism, just published by Oxbow Books.
6-7.15 pm GMT, Monday 28 March 2022
Liz has documented the history of archaeoastronomy in Britain, tracing it back to the earliest theories about Stonehenge and bringing it right up to the present day exploring need for new theories, contexts and the need to understanding culture in the totality of the skyscape and the landscape. Her book is a truly original contribution to our understanding of how human beings have engaged with the sky by creating monuments on the Earth.
We hope to see you there.
